Four vehicles damaged in I-495 crash following police chase

A driver sped away after a state trooper tried to stop the car on Interstate 495 Wednesday morning for a violation of Virginia’s “hands-free” cell phone law, later crashing into four other vehicles.

At 8:54 a.m., a trooper attempted a traffic stop in the northbound lanes near Braddock Road, originally for the cell phone violation, state police said in a news release.

“A run of the suspect vehicle also showed outstanding warrants in Fairfax and Prince William counties,” the release said…
