Point of Rocks, MD – Moderate flooding is ongoing along the Potomac River at Point of Rocks, Maryland, as the river crested this morning at 23.6 feet, well above the flood stage of 16.0 feet. The National Weather Service has extended its Flood Warning through Friday evening, with river levels expected to gradually fall below flood stage by Friday afternoon.
Floodwaters have already reached key areas, including the comfort stations and upper parking lot at the Point of Rocks boat ramp, and are also affecting similar facilities in Brunswick.
