Former DC healthcare worker sentenced for stealing money from hospice patient’s wife

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A former health aide worker was sentenced Friday for stealing thousands of dollars from the elderly wife of a hospice patient, according to the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia.

Beverly Ochoa, 30, of Derwood, Maryland, was sentenced to one year of supervised probation and 40 hours of community service after pleading guilty in February to first-degree theft.
