GAITHERSBURG, Md. (DC News Now) — A person was hospitalized after being stabbed with a tree branch on Saturday in Gaithersburg, according to the Gaithersburg Police Department.
Officers responded shortly before 9:30 p.m. to reports of a stabbing at the Transit Center in the 9600 block of Lost Knife Road.

Police say an initial investigation determined that two men were involved in a fight, and a person tried to intervene to break up the altercation. One of the men responded by swinging a large, broken tree branch and striking the victim in the hand.
The person sustained a deep cut to their hand and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries…
