Two men indicted in over $1 million stolen vehicle scheme in Maryland

GREENBELT (WBFF) — Federal authorities have indicted two men in connection with an elaborate stolen vehicle ring that spanned more than four years and allegedly netted over $1 million worth of cars.

A 22-count indictment, unsealed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland, charges Charles Madden, 39, of New Carrolton, Maryland, and Michael Bourne, 33, of New York City, with conspiracy, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, operating a chop shop, sale or receipt of stolen vehicles, and trafficking in motor vehicles with altered vehicle identification numbers (VINs).
