Spanberger to outline Virginia’s economic growth, job plans in Manassas

MANASSAS, Va. (7News) — Former Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger will visit Manassas on Wednesday to unveil a new economic agenda focused on growing Virginia’s workforce and attracting investment across the state.

The Democratic candidate for Virginia governor is expected to detail a series of proposals aimed at creating jobs, supporting small businesses, and expanding workforce training.

Spanberger, a Democratic candidate for governor, is competing against Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears in the 2025 race. Earle-Sears has promoted her own economic platform, including the “Axe the Tax” initiative to eliminate Virginia’s car tax and end income taxes on tipped wages…
