DC Man Convicted of First-Degree Murder in 2024 Dupont Circle Road Rage Killing of Uber Eats Driver

Rodney Baggott, 58, from the District of Columbia, was convicted on multiple charges, including first-degree murder while armed and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. The charges are connected to a 2024 road rage incident that led to the death of Uber Eats driver Rasheek Abdullah near Dupont Circle, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Baggott was found guilty on Thursday after one day of jury deliberation. Sentencing is set for December 18. Court records state Baggott shot Abdullah in the neck after a traffic incident and left the scene with his girlfriend.
