Rose and Jessie’s story is a true testament to local love. Both were born in Montgomery County and have never left. Jessie, who grew up living in several different cities within the county, met her future wife, Rose, at Gaithersburg High School. Rose, who grew up in one of Old Town Gaithersburg’s historic houses, was a sophomore, and Jessie was a freshman.
Their love story began with a seemingly innocent game of pool after school. Jessie, who had never played before, unexpectedly won against Rose, who was known to be an excellent player.
