Man charged in fatal Manassas crash

A 65-year-old man has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in a July 26 crash in Manassas city that left a 72-year-old woman dead.

The crash occurred about 6:05 p.m. at Ashton Avenue and Godwin Drive. Police said officers arrived to find a gray Kia Forte and a white Ford F550 with significant damage. Two people in the truck were taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, Manassas police said in a news release.

The driver and sole occupant of the Forte, 72-year-old Earline Steward, was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said…
