A change to how the state tracks funding provided to local school divisions is to blame for an accounting mistake that will cost Loudoun County Public Schools almost $29 million.
Loudoun County Public Schools Chief Financial Officer Sharon Willoughby informed the School Board of the funding loss at its Aug. 12 meeting.
