DULLES, Va. (7News) — A dog ran around the busy Dulles International Airport airfield earlier this week after escaping his crate on a Lufthansa flight, though air traffic was not seriously impacted, according to airport authorities and air traffic control audio.

Audio obtained from LiveATC by ABC News recorded controllers and ground crew telling pilots that Runway 19 Left was shut down because a dog believed to be a mutt had gotten loose on the runway.
