ROCKVILLE, Md. — A Maryland woman accused of murdering her children after their 2014 disappearance will argue next month she remains incompetent to stand trial.
Catherine Hoggle, who was first arrested in connection with her children’s deaths in 2014, was recharged in July just days after being released from the Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center. She was involuntarily committed to the psychiatric facility in 2022 after a judge found she was a danger to herself and others.
Hoggle was supposed to appear for a conference Friday morning to set a trial schedule. Instead, her attorney, David Felsen, argued the hearing couldn’t proceed because she remains incompetent as a matter of law…
