BALTIMORE, MD—The Maryland State Police are stepping up enforcement efforts over the Labor Day weekend, urging motorists to drive safely and avoid impaired, distracted and aggressive driving.
According to a press release, troopers from all 23 barracks across the state will conduct high-visibility patrols from Friday, Aug. 29, through Sunday, Aug. 31. The State Police Impaired Driving Reduction Effort (SPIDRE) team, a specialized unit focused on identifying impaired drivers, will also be on the road to help reduce alcohol-related crashes, injuries and fatalities.
