Gang Member Arrested in 2020 Sterling Robbery

An accused high-ranking gang member has been arrested in connection with a 2020 mob assault and robbery at Community Plaza in Sterling.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office responded to Community Plaza on the evening of Feb. 29, 2020, for a robbery. According to court documents, a group of six people who had been flashing gang signs earlier in the day surrounded two victims, one of them a juvenile, and separated the two.

The gang members demanded money from the adult, who refused and was then assaulted by four suspects. The other two suspects punched the juvenile in the face before stealing a bookbag and hat from him…
