Montgomery County small businesses say immigration crackdown affecting sales

WHEATON, Md. (DC News Now) — The immigration crackdown is having ripple effects across Montgomery County, where small business owners say they’re losing customers who are too afraid to go out because of ICE raids.

One restaurant owner in Wheaton says business is down nearly 30 percent since the enforcement surge began.

Another shop owner told DC News Now that walk-in traffic at her cellphone store has been cut in half.
