Publix is expanding its presence in Virginia, building on its existing stores in the Richmond and Hampton Roads regions. The grocer’s newest store will be in the Washington, D.C., suburb of Manassas, at the northwest corner of Dumfries Road and Spriggs Road. News of the new store was first reported by Progressive Grocer, a sister brand of Store Brands.
The new location will be more than 50,000 square feet and will employ about 150 associates. An opening date has not been determined.
“We are excited to continue our growth across Virginia with a new location in Manassas,” said Jared Glover, media relations manager with Publix. “We look forward to making grocery shopping a pleasure for our new customers soon.”…
