Supervisors Approve Affordable Housing Loan, Send Another Back for Revisions

One loan for an affordable housing project in Loudoun was approved by county supervisors this week, while a second application was sent back to be revised before a final decision is on it.

The approved loan is for $19.3 million to be used to build 236 affordable housing units in Ashburn known as Moorefield Station Apartments. The development will near the Ashburn Metro Station. Of those units, 26 will be reserved for households earning no more than 30% of the area median income, 99 will be for households at 50% of the AMI, 13 will be for 60% AMI, and 111 will be set at 70% AMI.
