A beloved pig known to bring comfort and joy across Montgomery County is fighting to recover after a vicious attack left him with multiple deep wounds, his owner said.
Oliver the pig — a well-known companion animal who loves a good cuddle — was “viciously attacked” by what is believed to have been a loose dog or dogs while resting in his barn earlier this week, according to his owner, Emily Hanna of Gaithersburg.
“Oliver suffered significant wounds, including deep, 2-inch puncture wounds from bites around his head and neck, a shredded ear, and a large laceration in his flank that went through several layers of muscle,” Hanna said…
