ALEXANDRIA, Va. (7News) — The Loudoun County, Virginia, parents of a girl who was sexually assaulted at a high school in 2021 filed a misconduct lawsuit in federal court against several current and former school board members, according to court documents obtained by the 7News I-Team.
Documents on Friday by the Scott Smith family claim the school system’s leaders did not properly handle the assault on their daughter before the attacker was convicted.
