Skygazers Alert: November brings biggest Supermoon of the year, two meteor showers

BALTIMORE, MD—November is shaping up to be a celestial treat for Maryland skygazers, starting immediately with the biggest and brightest Supermoon of the year on Wednesday, November 5th. The month will also feature the peaks of two notable meteor showers and a close pass by the distant planet Uranus.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources encourages residents to watch the sky for this month’s stunning lineup of astronomical events.

Supermoon: Closest of the Year
