STERLING, Va. — Over a year and a half after the deadly house explosion in Sterling that killed a volunteer firefighter, the former propane technician convicted for his negligence will be sentenced Thursday afternoon.
Roger Bentley will be in court at 1 p.m. Thursday in Loudoun County. Back in July, he was found guilty of all four charges, including involuntary manslaughter. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
The case revolves around a 500-gallon underground propane tank that Bentley inspected Feb. 16, 2024. It exploded hours later, killing firefighter Trevor Brown and injuring a dozen others…
