The Heritage Hunt Homeowners Association has agreed to a settlement of $425,000 with the U.S. Department of Justice in exchange for the closure of the department’s investigation into the HOA’s April 2020 Paycheck Protection Program loan that allegedly violated the False Claims Act, an Oct. 14 letter to residents from the HOA’s Board of Directors said.
Without admitting fault in the matter, the HOA agreed to effectively reimburse slightly more than the amount of the initial loan – worth $397,600 at the time of issuance and forgiven in June 2021 with interest at $401,642.
