Two Montgomery County hospitals are among the 13 Maryland facilities that earned top marks in the Fall 2025 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades, a national assessment that evaluates how well hospitals protect patients from medical errors, injuries, and preventable complications: Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda (federally operated).
The Leapfrog Group, an independent nonprofit advocating for healthcare consumers, assigns grades from A to F based on more than 30 evidence-based safety measures, with an “A” representing the highest level of patient safety performance.
