MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A woman was found guilty during her retrial for killing a man in 2020.
On Thursday, the Circuit Court for Montgomery County found 32-year-old Sophia Negroponte, the daughter of a former diplomat, guilty of second-degree murder after she had fatally stabbed 24-year-old Yousuf Rasmussen.

In January 2024, the Maryland Court of Appeals overturned her original second-degree murder conviction.
