Car found in flames during Frederick shooting investigation

FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Frederick Police Department is investigating after a car was found up in flames during a shots-fired investigation on Saturday.

According to police, officers received reports of a shooting shortly after 4 p.m. in the 600 block of N. Bentz Street, but an initial investigation found that the shooting took place near Lord Nickens Street.

FPD: Investigation underway after radio show caller alerts to body found in woods

Officers were unable to find any victims but were notified of a suspect vehicle description. It is unknown if anyone was struck by gunfire.
