Man charged after threatening restaurant staff with knife in Fairfax, police say

FAIRFAX, Va. (DC News Now) — A man is behind bars after he allegedly threatened the staff of a Fairfax restaurant with a knife on Monday afternoon.

The City of Fairfax Police Department said officers responded to the incident at Saba Yemeni Restaurant on Pickett Road at around 12:20 p.m. There, police learned that Hadi Abboud, 23, of Fairfax, reportedly threatened staff with a knife after getting into an argument with the manager over his employment status.

Abboud also destroyed property belonging to the restaurant, according to officials. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
