ANNAPOLIS, MD—The Maryland Board of Public Works on Wednesday approved $3.75 million in grants from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, directing funds toward critical park improvements and the permanent conservation of over 600 acres of land in six Maryland counties.
The grants, approved by the three-member board—composed of Governor Wes Moore, Treasurer Dereck E. Davis, and Comptroller Brooke E. Lierman—will support projects in Baltimore, Cecil, Charles, Kent, Queen Anne’s, and St. Mary’s counties through three key DNR programs: Program Open Space–Local, Rural Legacy, and the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program.
