Dump truck collides into power pole on Leesburg Pike in Sterling

STERLING, Va. (DC News Now) — A dump truck crashed into a power pole early Thursday morning, forcing all lanes to close on Leesburg Pike (Route 7) in Sterling.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office told DC News Now that the collision took place at the intersection of Leesburg Pike and Potomac View Road.

Deputies said the truck collided with an electrical pole, causing live wires to hang low over both the east and westbound lanes.
