Virginia State Police, bystanders help save Maryland man from burning Tesla

VIRGINIA (DC News Now) — Police and good Samaritans helped rescue a man from Upper Marlboro, Md., from a burning car during a snowstorm over the weekend.

The Virginia State Police (VSP) said that around 7 a.m., a Tesla left the left side of Interstate 95 northbound in Caroline County and hit a tree.

A VSP sergeant was driving northbound and went to check on the driver, but the car caught fire. VSP said that the doors were locked and would not open.
