Maryland Attorney General Files Charges Against Local Paralegal Firm for Alleged Misleading Practices

On November 26, 2025, Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced that the Consumer Protection Division has filed charges against Intrepid Paralegal Solutions LLC and its owner, Daniel D. Manoff. The lawsuit alleges that the company and Manoff used misleading and unfair methods when offering paralegal services to consumers with legal issues. According to the complaint, Intrepid and Manoff are accused of performing legal work without authorization and listing attorneys on their website without permission.

The lawsuit also claims that Intrepid misrepresented the background of its Director of Professional Practices and Standards, stating he had a long legal career when he was disbarred in 1995.
