8 Dulles Airport Police Officers Facing Misconduct Allegations

Eight Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority police officers assigned to Dulles Airport have been fired or have resigned in the wake of misconduct allegations.

The incident was first reported by NBC4 Washington, which said the misconduct was related to officers taking bribes from taxi drivers to allow them to solicit business at the airport.

MWAA spokesperson Emily McGee told Loudoun Now the investigation began in August and involved “allegations of possible misconduct and MWAA policy violations involving police officers assigned to Dulles International Airport. Administrative and criminal investigations were separately conducted. As a result of the administrative investigation, eight officers have been separated from employment.”…
