Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced that Tasha Saunders of Parkville was sentenced to 10 years in prison and her daughter, Tamyra Jordan, received five years of supervised probation for participating in a scheme that defrauded Medicaid of more than $3.6 million.
Investigators say Saunders, who had a prior Medicaid fraud conviction, operated two behavioral health companies that submitted fake claims using forged records and stolen identities, while a third co-defendant awaits sentencing.
