7News breaks down rules for Germantown HOA fining family hundreds for Christmas lights

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — 7News has obtained the rules for the Germantown, Md., homeowners association (HOA) that has fined one family in the community hundreds of dollars for their Christmas decorations.

The Middlebrook Manor South HOA has fined the Salgado family at least $650 so far, and counting, for their display, saying it breaks nuisance rules. The family is being fined $50 per day.
