Au pair murder case: Cameras in courtroom for January trial

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — Nearly three years after the murders of his wife and another man, Brendan Banfield, who is accused of killing them along with the family’s au pair, will go to trial.

The trial will begin Jan. 12, 2026. Cameras will be allowed in the courtroom, the court said Monday. It was originally set for Feb. 23 but was pushed back twice.
