Airplane struck by food service vehicle at Dulles International Airport

DULLES, Va. (7News) — A United Express airplane preparing to fly to Richmond, Virginia, was struck by a food service vehicle at Dulles International Airport on Friday afternoon, a spokesperson for the airport said.

Crews were called to the Concourse A regional gate at around 3:50 p.m. after a food service vehicle struck United Express flight 4471, according to a Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) official.

No passengers were on board, and no injuries were reported. The regional jet, which was set to take off at around 5:10 p.m. for Richmond International Airport, was delayed for roughly 45 minutes, according to FlightAware data…
