Historic Comus Inn in Dickerson Closing Temporarily for Winter Break

The Comus Inn, a historic restaurant and event venue located at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain in Dickerson, has announced it will take a two-month winter break.

In a social media post shared Saturday, December 3, the Comus Inn said, “We’ll be taking a winter break from January through the end of February to rest, recharge, and take care of some behind-the-scenes maintenance. We look forward to welcoming you back refreshed and ready on March 1st. Thank you for your continued support.”

Established in 1862, the inn has long served as a gathering place for the community, originally operating as a traveler stop and general store. The Comus Inn reopened under new ownership in April 2024 and expanded with the addition of the Vanish Beer and Wine Garden the following month, continuing its role as a popular destination for dining and special events…
