Officials, advocates push ‘Easy Enrollment’ box on tax forms amid rising health care costs

The end of 2025 meant the end of federal tax credits that helped keep health insurance costs down for some 190,000 Marylanders, but it wasn’t the end of all help for those policy holders.

The state, anticipating the possible loss of federal assistance, set aside millions this year and next. And state officials gathered Monday to urge people to take advantage of the state’s Easy Enrollment program, which could help families get connected to more affordable health care by checking a box on their state tax forms…
