Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a house fire in the 3000 block of Miles Road in Burtonsville on Friday afternoon.
According to MCFRS spokesperson David Pazos, the occupants were not home at the time of the fire. One dog was rescued and reunited with the homeowners, while a second dog was removed from the home and provided care by EMS crews, but despite lifesaving efforts, could not be revived. Additionally, two cats are currently missing.
The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced residents. No injuries to people were reported…
