Maryland State Police searching for vehicle involved in fatal overnight hit-and-run on I-695

TOWSON, MD—Maryland State Police are searching for a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a Virginia man early Sunday morning on the Interstate 695 outer loop.

Investigators have identified the victim as 30-year-old Ahmed Waqus Qayun Kahn. He was pronounced dead at the scene following a complex series of collisions between Providence Road and Delaney Valley Road in Baltimore County.

The incident began shortly before 2:30 a.m. when a Mitsubishi Outlander became disabled in the left lane after striking a concrete barrier. A 2014 Toyota Camry, in which Kahn was a passenger, then collided with the rear of the Mitsubishi.
