Former Rockville lawyer pleads guilty to fraud, stealing $4.2 million: DOJ

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A former lawyer in Rockville is facing a maximum of 15 years in prison for a scheme that stole more than $4 million, according to officials.

The Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office announced that Sari Kurland, aka Sari Bloch, pleaded guilty to one count of theft and 15 counts of misappropriation by a fiduciary.

Kurland was an attorney with an active law license in the state of Maryland through Jan. 26, 2024, and had an office in Rockville.
