MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — A stretch of Beallsville Road in Poolesville, Maryland, was shut down after a large tree fell on Sunday, damaging multiple utility poles and bringing down power lines, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS).
The closure impacted Beallsville Road between Darnestown Road and Jerusalem Road, near Lyndenwood Avenue and Alden Farms, MCFRS spokesperson Pete Piringer said on social media.
Fire officials said a massive tree, about 100 feet tall, fell across power lines, pulling down wires and damaging three to four utility poles. As a result, the road was blocked off, leaving hundreds of people without power in the surrounding area…
