ASHBURN, VA. (DC News Now) — A Stone Bridge High School student is being remembered for her kindness and bright spirit after she was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday morning near the school.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) identified the victim as 20-year-old Calina Yu.
In the hours following the crash, a growing memorial appeared at the intersection of Claiborne Parkway and Portsmouth Boulevard, directly across from the high school, where Yu was hit. Many left flowers, candles and handwritten notes honoring a life cut short.
