Driver dies after SUV collided with tree in Montgomery County, police say

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A man died after he was involved in a crash in Montgomery County early Wednesday morning.

Details are limited; however, the Montgomery County Department of Police said officers responded to the single-vehicle crash around 1:19 a.m., near the intersection of Bethesda Church Road and Johnson Drive.

A preliminary investigation determined that a man was driving a 2025 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross on Bethesda Church Road when the SUV swerved off the road and crashed into a tree.
