The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office says a fugitive’s flight from justice ended in a wild chase from Fauquier into Prince William County on Saturday after an automatic license plate reader alerted to a stolen box truck.
An alert went out at 3:53 p.m. after the plate-reader camera on southbound Route 17 in Fauquier captured a U-Haul stolen from Prince William County, Fauquier sheriff’s office spokesman Jeffrey Long said in a new release. A Fauquier deputy located the truck at 4:01 a.m. on Route 29 near Warrenton.
