Meet Virginia’s Puppy Bowl contestants

WASHINGTON (7News) — Rescue dogs from a Northern Virginia shelter will be participating in the Puppy Bowl, a “competition” that saves more than 1,000 dogs per year.

Operation Paws for Homes (OPH) has four competitors, including Team Fluff’s Ozzy and Rosie. Team Ruff will have the rescue’s Twiggy and Ozzy, according to OPH.

During the Puppy Bowl, 90 dogs will face off on Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. with adoptable dogs from Mississippi, Alabama, George, South Carolina and Virginia. The dogs are brought north to adoptive homes in the DMV and Southern Pennsylvania, according to OPH…
