The community is raising support for the family of 15-year-old Tayeba Rezaie, who was killed in a vehicle collision on the morning of January 14 on Lockwood Drive.
According to organizers of the GoFundMe, the family is facing financial hardship following the loss, as the teen’s father, the household’s sole income earner, has been unable to work while grieving. A GoFundMe campaign has been created to assist with living expenses and provide financial support during this period. The teen was a student in the Montgomery County and Anne Arundel school systems, and her death has impacted family members, classmates, and others who knew her.
According to MCPD, officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded around 11:19 am to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Lockwood Drive and Northwest Drive. Police said a southbound Lexus attempted to avoid a Toyota in the intersection, struck it, left the roadway, and hit a utility pole, resulting in one passenger being pronounced dead at the scene and multiple others injured…
