Several well-renowned chefs in the DC area, along with some up-and-coming cooks, are still in the running for the prestigious prize, which is awarded annually to the best restaurants in the country.
“The James Beard Awards represent the pinnacle of culinary recognition in the US,” officials said. “Since their inception in 1990, the Restaurant and Chef Awards have made icons out of the nation’s top restaurant and bar professionals.”
