Man Charged After Allegedly Stealing Pizza From Papa John’s, Assaulting Employee

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police 4th District Patrol Investigations Unit have arrested and charged Dean Steve Bodjona-Ali, 20, of Olney, in connection with a robbery at a Papa John’s location in the 13000 block of Georgia Avenue.

According to police, officers responded to the restaurant at approximately 10:35 pm on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, for a reported assault. Investigators determined that Bodjona-Ali entered the store and provided a false name while attempting to pick up an order placed by another customer. When an employee refused due to a prior similar incident, police said the suspect went behind the counter and took a pizza.

When the employee attempted to intervene, Bodjona-Ali allegedly struck the employee in the chest and fled the store, police said. Detectives later identified him as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant charging him with robbery, second-degree assault, and theft under $100…
