18-year-old accused of blowing up several manhole covers in Northern Virginia

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (7News) — Loudoun County fire officials have arrested a Leesburg teenager in connection with an explosion that rattled a northeast neighborhood last fall and sent manhole covers flying.

The Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Fire Marshal’s Office announced that Trent Lasher, 18, of Leesburg, was arrested Thursday, Jan. 29, following a months-long investigation into the Oct. 5, 2025, explosion near Sparkleberry Terrace.
