Montgomery County school bus driver found partially responsible for crash that killed 11-year-old Summer Lim

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — A Montgomery County Public Schools bus driver has been cited more than three months after an 11-year-old girl was hit and killed while riding her bike through a crosswalk. Investigators say the driver is partially responsible for the crash, along with the girl who was killed.

According to the Montgomery County Police, the crash happened just before 3:15 p.m. on Oct. 9, 2025, in Aspen Hill.

Summer Lim, an 11-year-old Earle B. Wood Middle School student, was riding her bike on the sidewalk along Bauer Drive when investigators say she tried to cross Russett Road while the school bus was already turning right in the intersection…
